Important Update

Capital City Vipers Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

Updated March 30, 2020

At the Capital City Vipers, we are all a family and nothing is more important to us than the safety and wellness of our VipersĀ  family. We have been closely monitoring the situation related to COVID-19 and its impact to upcoming activities of which is highlighted below. This page will continue to be updated as we know more.

It is times like these where our core values of family and community become most visible. By deciding to temporarily postpone hockey activities, we believe we are committing to respect and value our neighbors both inside and outside of our hockey family. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.

End-of-Season Raffle Fundraiser

End of Season Banquet

As a result of the Governor's "strong encouragement" that "all large gatherings, especially those of 250 or more, be either canceled or postponed", we are postponing the end of season banquet. There will be more details coming shortly, but we will likely hold the banquet in late July or early August so we can turn it into a celebration of the previous season AND the next season alike. The team-donated prize baskets will be kept until that date.

Travel Evaluations

USA Hockey has postponed all travel evaluations until further notice. We will post updated dates when we have more information.

Pre-Evaluation Clinics

At this time, all pre-evaluation clinics are being postponed until we have more information from USA Hockey as to when they intend to hold travel evaluations.

Recreational Registration Clinics

At this time, all recreational registration clinics are being postponed until Governor Wolf lifts restricts on Cumberland and Dauphin counties.

What Can I do to Help?

We recognize that players and parents alike are passionate about hockey and will be disappointed about the impact of COVID-19. As coaches, directors and parents alike, we too are extremely disappointed for the need to restrict activities. That said, for us to to be able to get back to the rink as quickly as possible, we ask that you heed the recommendation to limit exposure to groups of individuals as much as possible.
